Emirates announced that it will send its newly-retrofitted B777s with Premium Economy cabin class to six destinations in the United States.

The Dubai-based carrier said that the refurbished B777s will be deployed on the following flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB):

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
  • Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA) linked to Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport (BOG)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) via Athens International Airport (ATH)

This will be Emirates’ Premium Economy class debut service to the US.

By February 2025, 10 out of 12 of Emirates’ routes to the US will feature Premium Economy.

The airline’s signature Premium Economy seats will now be available on a mix of Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft. The refreshed aircraft also feature the new Emirates 777 Business Class with seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, which offers more privacy, fully reclined flat bed in addition to a personal mini-bar.

“With the success and popularity of Premium Economy on routes like New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston served by our refurbished A380, we look forward to bringing a new level of comfort and privacy to more cities with refreshed cabins on our Boeing 777s,” Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates said in a statement.

“The introduction of our refreshed product and ensuring consistent experiences in the sky on more routes is part of our long-standing commitment to the US and adding more premium options in a span of just a few months ensures we offer a competitive, value for money proposition for our customers,” Kazim added.

By the end of 2024, Emirates will offer its Premium Economy product on flights to 27 cities and across 48 Boeing 777, A380 and A350 aircraft.

Currently, customers can enjoy the airline’s Premium Economy cabin on flights to Geneva Airport (GVA), Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND) and Brussels Airport (BRU). Emirates is scheduled to operate its refurbished aircraft to Zurich Airport (ZRH) and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH) starting October 2024.
