Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced it will increase its Manila-Melbourne service from five weekly flights to daily operations starting November 19, 2026, giving travelers more options ahead of the busy year-end holiday season.
The expanded schedule also comes during a milestone year for the route: on September 10, 2026, PAL marks 55 years of service to Melbourne, one of its longest-serving international destinations, having first launched the route in 1971.
New Manila-Melbourne daily schedule
Under the updated timetable, flight PR 209 will depart Manila at 2020 local time and arrive in Melbourne at 07:30 local time the following day.
The return flight, PR 210, will depart Melbourne at 09:20 local time and arrive in Manila at 14:25 local time, operating daily.
PAL said the optimized schedule is designed to make it easier for passengers to plan connections across the airline’s wider network, with travelers from Australia able to connect through Manila to destinations throughout the Philippines, Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
Strengthening PAL’s Australian network
The move to daily Melbourne flights strengthens PAL’s position as the carrier operating the most flights and serving the most destinations between the Philippines and Australia. The airline currently runs daily services to both Brisbane and Sydney, along with three weekly flights to Perth.
Beyond passenger travel, the increased frequency will also add cargo capacity on the route, which PAL said will help support Philippine exports and strengthen trade links between the two countries.
