There’s a new airline in town and it’s really cool.

Really Cool Airlines is Thailand’s latest startup carrier, launched by ex-Nok Air chief executive Patee Sarasin.

Sarasin, who will serve as the new airline’s chief executive, said that Really Cool will announce its flight routes by the end of June 2023 and begin operations by the end of the year.

The airline’s slogan is “We Fly the Future” and it will be midway between a luxury and budget carrier, Sarasin said, as reported by The Straits Times.

“We are excited and ready to introduce Really Cool Airlines to give an extraordinary experience to passengers,” Sarasin added.

The launch event was attended by Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt, who welcomed the new Thai carrier, stating airlines have played an important role in developing smart cities.

“Really Cool Airlines’ commitment to providing a unique flying experience will not only enhance the travel experience for passengers, but also contribute to the growth of Thailand’s resurgent travel and hospitality industries,” Sittipunt said, as reported by TTG Asia.

Sittipunt added: “We are excited to see what the future holds for Really Cool Airlines and look forward to their inaugural flight.”

While the airline’s routes and fleet plan will be revealed later in the year, imagery posted by Really Cool Airlines on social media shows an Airbus A350-900 in a blue and white livery.
