Singapore Airlines (SIA) has appointed Adrian Chan Pengee as an independent Non-Executive Director. The appointment took effect on June 15, 2026.

According to Singapore Airlines, Chan is no stranger to the upper ranks of Singapore’s legal community. As Senior Partner and Head of Corporate at Lee & Lee LLP, he has built his career over more than 36 years at the firm, widely recognized as one of Singapore’s most established law practices.

Chan’s work covers a broad sweep of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance advisory, capital markets, SGX listings, and regulatory affairs.

Over the years, Chan has been involved in some of the more demanding cases to cross a corporate lawyer’s desk, advising on intricate cross-border deals, high-profile privatisations, and notable boardroom disputes.

The airline said that his influence also extends to the shaping of governance standards in Singapore. He co-authored the country’s first Annotated Code of Corporate Governance and served on the Corporate Governance and Directors’ Duties Working Group of the Ministry of Finance’s Steering Committee, which was tasked with reviewing and rewriting the Companies Act.

Chan currently sits as an independent director on the boards of several SGX-listed companies and serves as non-executive chairman for a number of them. He is Vice Chairman of the Singapore Institute of Directors and holds positions on the Legal Service Commission and Singapore Management University’s Enterprise Board. Earlier in his career, he served as a Council Member at The Law Society of Singapore and as a board member of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority.

In recognition of his work in public service, Chan was awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in 2022.

At Singapore Airlines, Chan will take up roles on both the Board Nominating Committee and the Board Safety and Risk Committee.
