Wizz Air is set to trial a new seating product later this year aimed at those who are looking for a slightly more elevated experience when flying with the airline.
On October 10, 2025, the ultra-low-cost-carrier held a press conference in London to provide an overview of the company, six months after it launched its passenger-centric strategy, “Customer First Compass”.
During the event, Chief Commercial Officer Michael Delehant spoke about some of the carrier’s plans for the near future, including “Wizz Class”.
While details surrounding the seating product are still being cemented, Wizz Air did confirm that a trial would take place in December 2025.
Under the plans, Wizz Air will test blocking the middle seat in a couple of rows to see if it’s something the company could expand.
“While we are very much about density and flying full aircraft. In terms of what we are doing with the extra leg room in the front row, we’ve had a lot of requests from customers that are on business. Like getting on and off the aircraft quickly, with a little bit more space to do work,” explained Delehant.
He added: “We’re not reinventing the wheel here and I don’t expect us to have half the aircraft blocked.”
Delehant explained that there are passengers that don’t want to spend first or business class prices, but they would “like a bit more space and a little more efficient travel”.
Wizz Air added that the middle seat will only be blocked as the need arises and is not a permanent fixture on every flight.
The new seating product will be tested in December 2025.
