The Gulfstream G300 is the company's new entry point, unveiled in September 2025 and flown for the first time that December, with service entry expected in 2027. Gulfstream quotes 3,600 nautical miles of range, enough for New York to London or coast-to-coast US missions with reserves, and a cabin built on the same wide cross-section as the G400 above it.

The G300 introduces the Harmony flight deck, a development of the Symmetry cockpit flown on the larger jets, and is aimed squarely at the super-midsize segment, the class of jets sized between light and large cabins where the Challenger 3500 and Praetor 600 currently split most sales. It is Gulfstream's first clean-sheet entry in that class since the G280.

Market position

The G300 takes Gulfstream into a direct fight with the Bombardier Challenger 3500, the segment's best-seller, and Embraer's Praetor 600, as the company looks to capture buyers a full class below its traditional territory. Its argument is brand and commonality: a super-midsize price, expected in the mid-$20 million range, for an aircraft that flies and feels like the large-cabin Gulfstreams, with the G280 continuing alongside it during the transition.

Gulfstream Aerospace, the Savannah, Georgia-based business jet unit of General Dynamics, has been building large-cabin jets since the Gulfstream II of 1966 and delivers from final assembly lines in Savannah and Appleton, Wisconsin.
