An Emirates Airbus A380 touched down in Jakarta for the first time on August 8, 2026, marking a milestone for the world’s largest passenger aircraft and giving the airline a memorable way to fly AC Milan home following the club’s summer tour of Indonesia.

Majid Alfalasi, Emirates Country Manager for Indonesia, said the airline was proud to bring the A380 to Jakarta for the first time while also flying AC Milan home from its Indonesia tour.

The visit also gave thousands of Indonesian supporters a chance to see AC Milan in action, reinforcing the connection between the club and its fan base in the country.
As AC Milan’s Official Airline Partner and Principal Partner, Emirates played a key role in supporting the team’s pre-season tour and helping connect the club with fans abroad.
A brief but historic stop
The A380 arrived in Jakarta on August 8, 2026, and departed shortly after midnight the following day.
Despite the short visit, the aircraft’s debut in Jakarta drew significant attention from plane spotters and aviation enthusiasts, many of whom gathered to watch its first landing and departure from the city.
Emirates has operated in Indonesia since 1992, marking more than 30 years of service connecting the country to its global network. The airline currently runs 14 weekly flights between Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Dubai, along with two daily flights between I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar and Dubai.
