ITA Airways has unveiled a special Airbus A320 livery to mark the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, as part of its role as Official Airline Sponsor.

The A320-200, registered EI-DSY, has returned to commercial service repainted in the Olympic-themed livery and will operate across the carrier’s short- and medium-haul network. The livery features artwork by Italian illustrator Emiliano Ponzi and is intended to position the aircraft as a flying ambassador for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, integrating Games branding into ITA Airways’ daily operations.

Alongside the aircraft’s entry into service, ITA Airways has introduced a series of Olympic-related initiatives across its passenger offering. These include dedicated Business Class menus on selected medium-haul routes, as well as themed activations in the airline’s lounges at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Milan Linate (LIN) airports.

The airline has also launched SKYWAY, a temporary brand installation in Piazza San Carlo, Milan, which will remain open until mid-March 2026. The installation consists of two pavilions reflecting ITA Airways corporate colour scheme and branding. The pavilions feature white surfaces and natural wood elements inspired by alpine forms, creating a visually distinctive design that reflects national identity, sport, and environmental considerations. One of the pavilions is designed to resemble an aircraft fuselage, with window displays overlooking a stylized mountain environment, reinforcing the connection between aviation and the alpine setting of the Winter Games. The installation is intended to increase brand visibility and public engagement in the lead-up to the Games.

From a fleet perspective, the Olympic A320 livery represents a single-aircraft special scheme rather than a wider repainting program. The aircraft is expected to remain in regular commercial service while carrying the Milano Cortina 2026 branding.
