Private jet firm K9 JETS has announced two new routes in as many days for owners looking to travel with their pets in style.

On September 12, 2023, the United States-based company announced that it was launching a regular brand-new private jet for pets service between London and Dubai.

And on September 13, 2023, K9 JETS confirmed that it was also offering a Christmas service between Los Angeles and the United Kingdom (UK).

The pay-per-seat pet charter service plans to charter a service from Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles to Farnborough Airport (FAR), which is around an hour’s drive from central London, on December 20, 2023, with the return leg scheduled for January 1, 2023.

Similarly, British counterparts will be able to head out to Los Angeles from FAR on December 23, 2023, with a return date of January 3, 2024.

For those looking to get away in Spring 2024, the service will also be available from Van Nuys on March 8 and May 10, 2024, and from Farnborough on March 10 and May 12, 2024.

“K9 JETS believes pet family members deserve to travel in comfort and style alongside their owners. We couldn’t be more excited to kick off this new route, just in time for the holidays, so guests can celebrate with their loved ones (including pets) in style,” Adam Golder, co-founder of K9 JETS, said.

K9 JETS said it decided to launch the pet service after a request was received by their sister company, G6 AVIATION, of a flight from London to New Jersey for 10 passengers and 10 dogs.

The route between Dubai and the UK will be a more regular service with plans to provide pet-friendly private aircraft throughout 2023 and 2024.

The inaugural flight will depart from the private jet terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), Dubai on September 26, 2023, and fly into FAR.

Spaces are limited with tickets available for $9,925 which includes a seat for one passenger and a space in the cabin for a canine companion. The price for the Los Angeles/UK route has not been confirmed but seats typically cost between $6,350-$13,850.

“We’re thrilled to be launching the inaugural Dubai to London K9 JETS flight this month. Our newly introduced Dubai route is our maiden flight in the Middle East and we’re looking forward to expanding our network to include routes farther East to Asia, Australia and beyond in 2024,” Golder said.

Per UK government guidelines, all passengers travelling on the flight will be asked to provide the relevant medical certification for their pets. Pups must be leashed at all times but can sit on the owner’s lap or in the cabin.
