G800 at a glance
The Gulfstream G800 flies 8,200 nautical miles nonstop, far enough to link Singapore and Los Angeles or Dubai and Houston without a fuel stop, making it the longest-range business jet in service. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certified the aircraft in April 2025, and deliveries began that summer.
The G800 pairs the fuselage of the record-setting G650 with the newer wing and Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines of the G700, a combination that trades the G700's extra cabin volume for another 450 nautical miles of reach. Gulfstream positions it as the successor to the G650ER, whose production ended in February 2025, as the company looks to hold the range crown it has owned for most of two decades.

The G800 competes head-on with the Bombardier Global 8000, which entered service in December 2025 with 8,000 nautical miles of range and a higher Mach 0.94 top speed, and with the Dassault Falcon 10X expected in 2027. The contest is effectively a two-horse race today: Gulfstream sells range and cabin altitude, Bombardier sells speed, and buyers at this level, where prices run past $80 million, tend to split on brand loyalty as much as specification.
Gulfstream Aerospace, the Savannah, Georgia-based business jet unit of General Dynamics, has been building large-cabin jets since the Gulfstream II of 1966 and delivers from final assembly lines in Savannah and Appleton, Wisconsin.
