Air Serbia is set to add six new destinations to its network in the 2027 Summer season, as confirmed by the airline’s CEO, Jiri Marek, during an interview with Serbian broadcaster RTS on October 18, 2026.
This network expansion will include a new twice-weekly nonstop service to Miami (MIA), which is to start on May 20, 2027, thereby becoming Air Serbia’s third destination in the United States, after New York (JFK) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD), and its fourth in North America, since it also serves Toronto-Pearson (YYZ), in Canada. Like the airline’s other long-haul services, this new route to Florida is to be operated with Airbus A330-200s, of which the Serbian carrier currently has four.
From its base at Belgrade Nikola Tesla International (BEG), Air Serbia will also launch services to Yerevan (EVN), Armenia, Cluj-Napoca (CLJ), Romania, the Moldovan capital, Chisinau (RMO), and Minorca (MAH), in the Balearic Islands. The Serbian carrier will also reinstate its service to Helsinki (HEL), Finland, which it operated prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These new routes will add to the significant network expansion that Air Serbia has undergone in the last few years, taking the airline close to the 100-destination mark.
Services to Cluj-Napoca and Chisinau are to be operated with ATR-72 turboprop aircraft, while those to Yerevan and Minorca will use Airbus A319 aircraft. Helsinki, in turn, is to be served by Embraer E195 aircraft.
During his TV interview, Marek confirmed that, during 2027, Air Serbia is due to receive two more Airbus A320-family aircraft as well as an additional Embraer E-Jet. In 2026, the Serbian airline added one Airbus A320 aircraft and one Embraer E195 to its fleet.
Marek also shared that Air Serbia has registered a year-on-year increase of around six percent in the number of passengers carried during the first nine months of the year. The airline executive highlighted that he expects 2026 to be the most successful in the history of the airline, just as it prepares to mark its 100th anniversary in 2027.
