Airbus is set to slightly exceed its revised 2025 aircraft delivery target, according to a Bloomberg report citing people familiar with the matter.
Bloomberg reported that Airbus delivered 793 commercial aircraft in 2025, above the manufacturer’s revised target of “around 790.” Airbus confirmed on January 3, 2026, that it will publish its audited annual commercial figures on January 12, 2025.
Airbus lowered its original delivery guidance in early December 2025 from around 820 aircraft after identifying a quality issue at a supplier that affected A320-family fuselage panels, disrupting late-year handovers.
Flight data provider Cirium had previously estimated 782 Airbus deliveries for 2025, with analysts noting that year-end administrative completions could push the final number higher.
Production in 2025 remained heavily concentrated on the A220 and A320neo single-aisle programs, while widebody output for the A330 and A350 continued to lag due to industrial constraints.
Airbus enters 2026 with a backlog of more than 12,000 aircraft and plans to raise A320neo-family production to 75 aircraft per month by 2027.
On the US side, Boeing improved its delivery performance in 2025, recording its strongest year since 2018. By the end of October 2025, Boeing had delivered 493 aircraft and is widely expected to end the year in the 590–610 delivery range, although it remains well behind Airbus in overall volume.
